Complaint: I took my car, a 2005 Sienna still under the 3 yr/36,000 mile warranty, to Toyota of San Diego due to a loud noise issuing from the front electric passenger window.

I was told by Toyota of San Diego that if it were something like a loose bolt, I would be charged $95.00 unless it turned out to be a warranty thing like the motor. They had my car all day and their final diagnosis was that the "only noise heard at this time is normal buzz type noise from normal operation of glass inside track. Did lube window track to try & help alleviate noise".
I was not satisfied with this diagnosis at all.

The next morning I took it to another dealership which has ordered a new motor and regulator, and seemed very surprised that Toyota of San Diego tried to charge me $95.00 for checking an item still under warranty.

Luckily I took the time and got my vehicle checked by an honest dealership before the warranty ran out.

You'd be better off buying from anywhere else than Toyota of San Diego.
