Complaint: With 22,000 miles the Toyota dealer tells me Toyota requires a throttle body cleaning, $75.00, while getting my oil changed. I told them Toyota doesn't require that. Then at 28,000 miles they said I am getting behind on my required maintenance because my throttle body has not been serviced. Service manager says Toyota doesn't tell you about this needed service because they do not care what happens after 36000 miles. After 36000 miles the throttle body butterfly will stick and cost $1100.00 if not cleaned at 22,000 miles. This same dealer also said it was a very complicated and difficult task to change the air cabin filter when I figured it out and changed it in less then a minute. These things give the appearance of someone wanting to make extra money doing things that do not have to be done.
